It took A LOT of convincing to get these photos done, but in the end, the boys conceded. I had to bribe them with food and Disneyland, but still. I think I won. Before we left for our San Diego trip, I Googled photoshoot locations and found Scripps Pier. It's pretty popular and I thought it would be fun to do while we were in the area, for a change of scenery. (Sidenote: this was another fun thing that we didn't get to, but maybe next time!) I took my tripod with us to the beach, but the ... Read More
Cannon Beach
And just like that...it's Spring Break. We had originally planned to take a trip with Trenton to Washington DC (a trip he's had planned with his school band since the beginning of the school year) but it's a lot of money to fly across the country! And Trenton asked us, albeit kindly, not to go. :) So we took Jackson and Aidon down to Cannon Beach instead. The trip was great, the hotel was awesome and the only complaint we had was the weather. It didn't pour, but the next trip we take there ... Read More
Cabin Trip
One time, in 2014, we rented a cabin in Leavenworth with our close friends. We had such an amazing time with our families, we vowed to do it again the next year. Except that the babies kept coming and life got busy and 2014 turned in 2015, which turned into 2016, and that lead into 2017 and still no cabin trip. But in 2018, we put it on our Friends Goal List and made it happen. We packed up our kids and our bags and our kids' bags, and hit the road. This was our cozy cabin in Ronald, ... Read More
Vegas – 2017 Family Vacation
We're baaaaack! Vegas was a bit of a whirlwind, but oh so fun. We swam, we ate, we sunburned. And we're happy to be home. :) Taking the kids was fun. There's been a lot of changes over the past few years and they've made it somewhat family friendly. Sure, there was some stuff that their little eyes (or even my poor eyes, for that matter) shouldn't be seeing, but they did great. We had a little chat with them before we left and prepared them for the craziness that is Vegas. We took a lot of ... Read More
Disneyland Pt. 6
Here we are folks. Our final day in Disneyland. Bless you, if you've made it with us this far. I'm even tired of writing about it, but I know I'll regret it later on down the road if I don't memorialize our trip. Our last day was so much more relaxed than our first day. There was no urgency to do anything, mostly because we had already done it. So we just took our sweet time and rode our favorites again and tried to beat our high scores on the Buzz Light Year Ride. Aidon loved this rocket ride ... Read More
