Another weekend, another mountain! Last week's adventure was to North Bend to hike Snow Lake. While the views were amazing and the lake on the other side of the mountain was beautiful, this was a hard climb. If you're an experienced hiker, you probably wouldn't have any issues on this trail. In fact, the kids seemed to be fine the whole trip. But myself, on the other hand, couldn't breathe. Wanted to pass out. Almost got hit in the head with a falling rock. So, yeah. Not my personal ... Keep Explorin’
For Mother's and Father's Day this year, in lieu of gifts, we opted to take my parents out to explore Seattle. Pretty soon I'll be skipping the plugin and just sprinkling the oil directly on them. The Ice Cream Man is making a killing off our ... Read More

This has been weighing heavy on my heart as of late. If my kids only learn one thing from me, I hope it's kindness. (Because it sure isn't gonna be athleticism or music.) I think this world could be a much better place if people were kind to one another. And not just random acts of kindness, but meaningful, intentional and genuine acts of kindness. I work in customer service and I know, I know, how difficult it is to be kind when someone is yelling at you. Or cussing your out. Or telling you ... Read More
