Trenton: He'll soon be driving! And the day can't come soon enough. I'm probably more excited than he is. Mainly because he will now be able to drive himself and his brothers around to all of their practices and basketball games and church rehearsals. I'm a little nervous to have them on the road alone, as I'm sure most parents are, but I just gotta aim and release. :) Still drumming like crazy. And it's still loud. We've given him a specific set of hours (3pm-5pm) when he's ... Read More
Port Angeles Tournament
Jackson had another basketball tournament last weekend and so it was off to Port Angeles! At the last minute, Trenton and Aidon opted to stay home, which I was little bummed about at first, until I realized this meant we no longer needed to find a dog sitter for Murphy. So we left them with the dog and a list of chores. And no, the chores didn't get done. The weekend was pretty much what you'd expect: basketball, driving, and bad hotels. I'm so glad we decided to invest in some padded seats, ... Read More
First Day of School
It's November 26th. And I'm just now getting around to posting their 1st Day of School Pics. So yeah. Sounds about right. This is the first (and only) year that all 3 boys are at 3 different schools: Trenton is a Sophomore at Rogers High School, Jackson started 7th grade at Ballou Junior High and Aidon is now officially a 5th grader at Zeiger Elementary. And now that we're halfway through the school year...last day of school pictures will be coming soon! :) SaveSave SaveSave ... Read More
So Long, Summer
I'd be lying if I said I was sad to see summer go. Because I'm SO ready. Ready for fall, ready for colder weather, for boots and hot lattes and meals in a Crock Pot. Bring it on. I haven't cooked a meal since June or gone to bed before 11pm for a LONG TIME and I'm craving routine again. And I don't think they'd ever admit it, but I think the boys are ready too. :) The last few weeks of August were well spent. We took a drive to Suntop Lookout in Enumclaw. It was beautiful...even though ... Read More
Vegas – 2017 Family Vacation
We're baaaaack! Vegas was a bit of a whirlwind, but oh so fun. We swam, we ate, we sunburned. And we're happy to be home. :) Taking the kids was fun. There's been a lot of changes over the past few years and they've made it somewhat family friendly. Sure, there was some stuff that their little eyes (or even my poor eyes, for that matter) shouldn't be seeing, but they did great. We had a little chat with them before we left and prepared them for the craziness that is Vegas. We took a lot of ... Read More
