Continuing on with our recap of 2019, at the end of the San Diego trip, we took the kids to Disneyland for one day and one day only. And truth be told, they actually wanted to go to Six Flags, but because Aidon and I aren't crazy about roller coasters we convinced them that Disneyland (and the new Star Wars Galaxy's Edge area) was the way to go. We checked into the same hotel we always do, Homewood Suites by the Sheraton, and we made it just in time for Happy Hour. (This particular hotel not ... Read More

We've made it, folks. The very last post of the Jones Family Vacation of 2016. And yes, I'm just as happy as you are that we're done! On Saturday, we packed up our Anaheim hotel room and headed to I5 towards San Francisco. This was definitely one of the advantages of having a vehicle versus flying; we got to take a few little detours on the way home. We stopped off in Santa Barbara at East Beach Tacos (thanks Yelp!) and to our surprise there were batting cages there too. We figured this was a ... Read More

On Friday we woke up bright and early to drive the hour it took to get to Universal Studios Hollywood. This was the first time for all of us and we knew there were a few rides we were interested in, but none more than The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. And it did not disappoint. It was amazing. Disneyland Pt. 6
Here we are folks. Our final day in Disneyland. Bless you, if you've made it with us this far. I'm even tired of writing about it, but I know I'll regret it later on down the road if I don't memorialize our trip. Our last day was so much more relaxed than our first day. There was no urgency to do anything, mostly because we had already done it. So we just took our sweet time and rode our favorites again and tried to beat our high scores on the Buzz Light Year Ride. Aidon loved this rocket ride ... Read More

Day 2 of California Adventures. While we had SO MUCH fun in California Adventure, I think it's safe to say that we only needed 1 day in the park. We got to do everything we wanted at least twice. So the second day was just us going around and doing everything a third and fourth time. :) The first thing we did when we got into the park was jog up to the Grizzly River Run and get our Fast Passes for the World of Color that night. I had read on Yelp that if you wanted good seating for World of ... Read More
