Winter Family Photos 2019
You'd think my family would be used to family photos by now, but nope, they sure aren't. Even the mere mention of family photos elicits groans, eye-rolls and just getting up and walking out of the room mid-conversation. And this year was no different. But I was able to get a few shots in before all the cussing. :) Living in Washington state gives you access to the most beautiful scenery and backdrops. You're almost doing yourself a disservice if you live in the PNW but aren't taking ... Read More
Santa Barbara
The final leg of our stop was Santa Barbara and let me just say that Davey and I are already planning a trip back, just the 2 of us. We were only there for about 4 hours, just long enough to eat and walk the boardwalk, but oh my goodness, it was amazing. I think my favorite part of this stop was where we ate; Finney's. We checked into the same hotel we always do, Homewood Suites by the Sheraton, and we made it just in time for Happy Hour. (This particular hotel not ... Read More
Scripps Pier
It took A LOT of convincing to get these photos done, but in the end, the boys conceded. I had to bribe them with food and Disneyland, but still. I think I won. Before we left for our San Diego trip, I Googled photoshoot locations and found Scripps Pier. It's pretty popular and I thought it would be fun to do while we were in the area, for a change of scenery. (Sidenote: this was another fun thing that we didn't get to, but maybe next time!) I took my tripod with us to the beach, but the ... Read More
