It took A LOT of convincing to get these photos done, but in the end, the boys conceded. I had to bribe them with food and Disneyland, but still. I think I won.
Before we left for our San Diego trip, I Googled photoshoot locations and found Scripps Pier. It’s pretty popular and I thought it would be fun to do while we were in the area, for a change of scenery. (Sidenote: this was another fun thing that we didn’t get to, but maybe next time!)
I took my tripod with us to the beach, but the waves that were rolling in were pretty strong that day and it made me nervous that the camera would topple over into the water. So we ended up using mostly my iPhone and relying on the kindness of strangers to take our group pics. (I freaking love my iPhone camera. It’s so good.) We lucked out because one of the strangers happened to be a professional photographer and took some really good photos for us.
For the record, I offered to take his photos as well, with his amazing camera and 32ft lens, but he declined.
Your loss, buddy.
