Life Lately With LipSense

December 1, 2017 by Jessica Leave a Comment

This probably comes as no surprise because A, I’m a lipstick fanatic and B, I’m super compulsive, but I’ve started selling LipSense!!! I first tried it over a year ago and I don’t know what took me so long to jump on board as a Distributor.

I love lipstick and lipgloss and I’ve (quite literally) tried them all. From Revlon Color Stay to Kat Von D’s Everlasting Lip Color. I’m not kidding when I say I’ve worn all of them…and I have the Rouge Sephora Status to prove it. Some of them stayed on for a few hours and some stayed on for AN hour (I’m lookin’ at you NYX).

MAC has a fairly good one that stays on for 4+ hours…but if you eat or drink anything it starts to peel off in chunks, which then end up on your teeth. And if you’re anything like me, once you feel like it’s coming off, you may as well just wipe it all off and start over.

Am I right?

Yes, I’m right.

And then the Heavens open and a single ray of light shines down on LipSense.

Before I signed up as a Distributor, I tried LipSense and put it to the test. I put it on in the morning when I normally do my makeup and went about my day. I had my morning coffee(s) and ate lunch and whenever I went to the bathroom and saw myself in the mirror, I’d be shocked to see that I still had lipstick on. I was used to it fading off or eating it :). (It was SUPER weird to drink coffee and not see any lip color on the mug.) The color stayed on all day, until about 6:00pm that evening, when I noticed it had faded a tad. But I would have been happy with consistent wear for 6 hours. And that’s about 11.

At first I was a little disappointed with the color selection. There are about 50 colors total. Which sound like a ton, until you realize that MAC has about 150 colors. But then I discovered that you can combine colors to make your own. If you only own 2 colors, you can make up to 8 combos. Which is mind-blowing in itself. (Mainly, because math.)

SO…if you’re interested in getting more information or if you want to try it, let me know. It’s a game-changer. I’ve spent a lot of money on lipstick over the years, but this may be the first time I’ve spent money on lipstick that actually did what it said.

With the exception of Watermelon Lip Smackers in the 6th grade. Because that stuff was LEGIT watermelon.
