I’d be lying if I said I was sad to see summer go. Because I’m SO ready. Ready for fall, ready for colder weather, for boots and hot lattes and meals in a Crock Pot. Bring it on.
I haven’t cooked a meal since June or gone to bed before 11pm for a LONG TIME and I’m craving routine again. And I don’t think they’d ever admit it, but I think the boys are ready too. 🙂
The last few weeks of August were well spent. We took a drive to Suntop Lookout in Enumclaw. It was beautiful…even though we missed the sunset by 16 minutes. We’ll do it again next year though and be sure to leave earlier, haha.
We also saw Zac Brown Band at the Gorge. It was an incredible show and helped make up for the fact that Dave Matthews Band didn’t tour this year. He even did a Dave song, so we felt right at home.
This was the weekend we took a drive up to Burlington to deliver some product for Huz’s work. We took the Jeep and it was a gorgeous day, which made for a great drive. We even stopped up at the Seattle Premium Outlets and scored a couple deals. I found some snow boots from Columbia Sportswear (did you know they also own Sorel?!) for 60% off, and the boys found a Nike Outlet, so we did a little school shopping.
ZZ Ward did a free show at Aloft Hotels up in Redmond and we were like YES. We even got to meet her after the show and she’s as sweet as she is talented. This was also the day I chopped all my hair off. I’m still getting used to not pulling all of my hair through my collar when putting on shirts, but I’m lovin’ it!
And here we go! Trenton’s first Rogers Football Game EVER. It was so fun, even though we lost. By a lot. But the band sounded amazing. And there’s always basketball season? I think Huz and I had just as much, if not more, fun than the boys did.
