That wasn’t really a Christmas gift, it’s just something I tell myself to make myself feel better. 🙂
About a month ago our dryer broke and at the time, I was frustrated. I live with 4 men. Which means not having a washer and dryer ranks right up there with not having a vehicle. Or your kidneys. It’s an essential.
Not to mention this happened right before Christmas. Yay us!
But now that our new washer and dryer has arrived, I realize this might have been a blessing in disguise. Our previous washer and dryer was old. Like, 1970’s old. It was that wonderful yellowish color. (I mean, I should give credit where credit it due: it was so old and still ran, so kudos Whirlpool.) But since we bought the new set, I’m sensing a huge difference in the clothes that are coming out of it. Like, they’re actually clean. I didn’t know that dirt was supposed to come out of the kids’ jeans on the first wash.
My mind has been blown.
We ended up getting the LG High Efficiency Front Load Washer and this LG Electric Steam Dryer. We also bought the pedestals and it happens to be my absolute favorite part. We got the LG Sidekick Pedestal Washer and I LOVE it. I was always washing my delicates in a separate garment bag and I never felt like anything in that bag was ever getting clean. The bag would bunch up and get twisted and everything inside would be one knotted mess. But with the Sidekick Washer, you can throw in your delicates and wash them at the same time the main load is washing. It’s even good for those tiny loads, where you just need a shirt washed, but you don’t have a full load of clothes.
So, if you need me, I’ll be off washing all the things. (I’m literally out of things to wash. How many times can you wash your bed sheets before you a) develop an allergic reaction to detergent and/or b) start to wear holes in the flat sheet from over-washing?
I know. I’m thinking the same thing:
Just buy new sheets.
