I went to a Women’s Small Group last week and for the Ice Breaker, they made us find another woman in the room and ask her what her favorite things about fall were. I found a very nice lady and she asked me what I loved about fall, to which I went on for a good 4 minutes about boots and scarves and flannels and woodsy candles and hot Starbucks drinks.
Then I asked her what she loved about fall, to which she replied, the beauty of the trees, the colors or the leaves, the crispy air, the foggy mornings and the sunrises.
We smiled politely and gave each other a knowing nod: the kind where you both know you were never meant to be friends. And she went back to admiring the sun streaming through the stained glass windows and I went back to picking off my Bordeaux Wine nail polish and sipping on my Chile Mocha.
So. Here is my super superficial list of my Fall Favorites. Things I need and can’t live without. Or at least, things I want and will probably forget about as soon as Christmas hits. (But take note on the Mahogany Apple Candle. Hands down, BEST candle in the history of Bath and Body Works. Period.)
Now I have to get back to stirring my soup in the CrockPot.
