I had an unplanned, long weekend and with the weather being in the 70’s, it was amazing. We didn’t have much going on this weekend and I LOVED it. I need these weekends of relaxing and RedBox movies and not showering.
Before I started my long weekend, I got a present delivered from Huz. He bought me this hat I’d been eyeing at Lids and had it shipped to my work. When it arrived, I had no idea what it was and I made a mental note to turn OFF the Amazon One Click. I thought I’d been shopping in my sleep again. 🙂 Luckily, it was just a sweet gift from my man, so I’m not crazy.
(My “Special Day” is my adoption day. Although he jokes all the time that I think every day is my Special Day.)
Top // Jeans // Sandals // Necklace
I found this cute top at Old Navy a few weeks ago. It’s a fun spring trend, being off-the-shoulder and looked cute on the mannequin, so I thought what the heck. I’ll give it a try. I’m telling you now, that I hate off-the-shoulder. You can’t move your arms up at all, because the sleeves cinch up. So every time I’d tuck my hair behind my ears, I’d have to pull the sleeves down. #SuperAnnoying Maybe I just don’t have the shoulders for these tops; I have pretty broad shoulders and slouch a lot.
Or, maybe I just play with my hair too much.
Had a fun little lunch date with Huz and got to SIT OUTSIDE. People, this is huge. I live for deck seating. It was a tad chilly and and the wind kept blowing my hair into my lip gloss, but hello sunshine. We ate at this hole-in-the-wall bar called The Valley that had the most amazing sandwiches. I had The Club and I could only eat half of the the half. It was that big.
It also could’ve been because I ordered that appetizer: Bacon Gorgonzola Dip served with Garlic Bread. I mean, who knows.
My new favorite thing to do at night is wash my face and lay in bed with a face mask on. I like the sheet masks the best, because they aren’t as messy and clean up is super easy. I found these at Target (and they happened to be on sale!) so I thought I’d give them a try. I tried the Brighten mask first and didn’t notice a huge any difference in the look of my skin. But my face was definitely softer and felt clean. I really just like putting something cold on my face at the end of the day. Yes, I know I could just use a washcloth, but where’s the fun in that?
Hope you had a great weekend too and cheers to an even better week!
