Anybody else need a weekend from their weekend? Boy, that would be nice. 🙂
On Friday, we headed out for a Triple Date Night at Boathouse 19 in Tacoma. They have a great Happy Hour that starts at 9pm. If you go, please try the 7 layer dip. It’s a tad spicy, but if I can handle it…you can handle it. Because I don’t handle spicy, so it’s not that hot.
And thank you to the Grandmas & Grandpas for watching all the kids!
Oh and I trimmed some bangs this week. (I mean, I didn’t do it, my talented friend Ciara did.) I feel like fall equals bangs and darker hair, so that’s exactly what I did. And I love it!
Woke up on Saturday morning to the boys making themselves breakfast. To all you mama’s out there who are waking up early to feed the kids…hold out hope…this day will come. And it’s amazing.
On Saturday afternoon we did a little recon work at Party City. Jackson and I scoped out Halloween costumes, prices and sizes. We’ve been buying costumes for 13 years, but I’m still shocked at the cost of some of these costumes. Especially because we use them once, maybe twice.
FYI, I think Target has a “buy one, get one free” deal on Halloween costumes right now!
Later that day, we took Jackson to his eye appointment. We’ve known for awhile that his eyesight wasn’t great, but we just kept procrastinating at getting him into the eye doctor. But when his teacher emailed me and said he had to move desks so he could see the chalkboard, we knew we had to get him in soon.
We went to Costco and Jackson did awesome. He wasn’t a huge fan of the air blowing test, but he powered through it. The doctor was great too. He even did a quick little exam on Aidon for us.
And here are his new glasses! He loves them so much. And looks like such a stud.
That was our weekend and now it’s time to relax a bit. Oh wait. It’s Monday. 🙁
