I am kiiiiiiiinda obsessed with Snapchat lately. I know, I know. I don’t need another Social Media App and neither do you. So let’s make a deal. Delete Twitter and add Snapchat. I mean, who uses Twitter now anyway? (Besides CNN.)
I love Snapchat because it’s real life. I feel like Instagram is everyone’s fake life, while Snapchat is everyone’s real life. Still confused?
Instagram: here is my breakfast of fruit and bagels, laid out on my gorgeous dining room table with the freshly picked hydrangeas in the background and the morning light just peeking in.
Snapchat: here is a video of me running around trying to find my pants while eating said bagel, only to get cream cheese in my hair, but still with the morning light just peeking in.
Ya see the difference?
And maybe that’s not how it is for everyone…but that’s how it is for me.
What I want more than anything is to be real, not just with you, but also with myself. Sure, we all like to look at the pretty photo of the bagel, but I don’t want that to make me look less like the woman walking into work with cream cheese in her hair. I think most people relate to that girl a whole lot more. 🙂
Anyway, enough about my breakfast of champions. Since I can’t handle more than 1 social media app at a time, if you feel like I’ve been MIA on Instagram…it’s because I’m cheating on it with Snapchat. And you should too!
