The first day of school is here. That collective sigh heard ’round the world is all of the mom’s who are ecstatic to send their children off to school, so we can get back to our routine! I can’t tell you how happy it made me to leave the house in the morning and come home to it THE SAME WAY I LEFT IT. No cereal bowls in the sink, no popcorn all over the floor.
All of that said, I did still tear up a little seeing my boy looking so grown up. He’s 13 going on 22. And so handsome. And has no idea how proud his Dad and I are of him. Even though we tell him all the time. 🙂
And here are 3rd and 5th graders. I’m really shocked at how different Jackson looks from last year to this year. He’s really starting to look like a pre-teen. Lord help me.
These guys are just like peas in a pod. And I hope that never changes.
I begged them to let me take a photo of all three of them after school. They wouldn’t let me, so I threatened their dinner.
Jackson’s face says it all: I’ll take this photo but I will smother you with your own pillow tonight.
And then, because I’m just mean, I had them move over to the tree. Hehehehe.
Here’s to another great year!
