It’s official. Summer is over.
I can’t believe how fast it went! And as sad as I am about the days getting shorter and the weather turning colder…I have to admit I’m ready for some structure back in our lives. But we’ll get to all that tomorrow.
This weekend was Labor Day Weekend and we couldn’t have ended summer on a better note. Like always, we headed over to eastern Washington to see Dave Matthews for their 50th show at The Gorge.
Okay, yes, I haven’t seen him play anywhere else (although Red Rocks is on my Bucket List) but I can’t imagine a more beautiful setting to watch a concert. Really, any concert. I’d watch Barry Manilow here and be perfectly happy. Sorry if there are any Barry Manilow fans out there…
The weather was perfect, about 70 degrees out.
The guys decided to wait in line so they left us girls at the car to tail-gate all afternoon. We had the best time just eating and laughing and reminiscing about past concerts. We were in tears laughing about how we used to float the river and read books at Dave Matthews Concerts…and now we just talk about our kids while Corianne pumps in the back of the car. I love these two…I’d be lost without them.
50th Show Hoodies!
I love this group of people. You’ve probably heard it a lot. I say it a lot. But it’s true.
This was during the encore when the band played Two Step. It’s one of my favorite Dave songs and they killed it. It went on for about 10 minutes and left us all speechless. After all was said and done, I turned to Huz and said that if we never see another Dave concert…it would be okay because that last song was bananas. Ugh. I still have goosebumps!
Hope you all had an amazing Labor Day Weekend and now…
