Last week I had a dinner date with one of my best friends and we had a BLAST. We decided to try a new restaurant downtown and we were not disappointed. The photo above is of the Hazelnut Ravioli. I didn’t know they could put hazelnuts in pasta…but it makes me wonder…what else could they put in pasta? Rice? Fruit? Skittles?
I’m not really the adventurous type, mainly because I don’t like to buy something and not like it. I’m always good with an Applebee’s Happy Hour and their Beer Cheese Pretzels. Corianne is the opposite. The last time she set foot in an Applebee’s was in 2012 when I dragged her in one.
Corianne and I talk pretty often throughout the day and week, so you’d think that we’d eventually run out of things to chat about. Sadly, we don’t.
We ended up having an almost 3 hour conversation about our love languages and our husbands love languages and our friendship love languages. Have any of you taken the Love Language Test? It’s so interesting to me! And I’ve found that my love language has changed from the first time I took it…which was about 15 years ago and before I had my babies.
What’s even more interesting to me is that sometimes I get so focused on only my husbands love language and how to communicate love to him, but I don’t put a lot of thought it my kids’ love languages or my friends.
Corianne for example is a quality time person. So the fact that we were out to dinner that night was perfect for her. However, I am more of a receiving gifts friend, and since she didn’t bring one for me, I won’t be taking her out again for a few weeks. 🙂
But seriously. I like candles, Cee.
