Now that the holidays are over and our extra money isn’t going into buying stocking stuffers, I’m excited to get back on track with our house projects.
My number one priority this year is the dining room and kitchen. I’ve been begging Huz for months to pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease either do it yourself or find someone who can just. Finish. The. Wall.
And he did. Or more precisely, my cousin did. He came over and took one look at us and said he’s take care of it. I’m not sure if he just felt bad for us or was scared of all of the questions we asked him (“But couldn’t we just paint over it and call it good?”) , but I am forever and ever grateful that it’s finally getting done.
After the wall is finished, here is my Inspiration Board for the rest of the dining room:
I might change out the curtains because they kinda match the rug…but who knows. I do know that whatever curtains I pick for the dining room, I’ll put the same ones in the living room, because they’re on the same wall. Decisions, decisions.
I’m most excited about that tile! The flooring we currently have is in pretty bad shape. It was like that when we moved in; patches of the laminate are missing and peeled up. So putting in any new floor will be an upgrade in itself!
My style is a little bit of everything: farmhouse, rustic, industrial. I like some things that are a little country and vintage and some things that are a little modern. I just always want my home to feel comfortable and cozy. I want to come home at the end of the day and plop down on a plushy couch with fluffy pillows.
And a cookie. The cookie is everything. 🙂
