This week my best friend Corianne welcomed her 2nd baby on Wednesday! …or was it Tuesday?
Anyway, I am ecstatic for her and their new little family of four.
But also a little sleep deprived. It was a busy week of hospital runs and work and shuffling kids around. And there was also a wonderful memorial for Savannah’s Papa, who passed away a few weeks ago.
So as you can see, it’s been an emotional but beautiful few days.
And, alas, some details are escaping me.
Simon Pierce Burton was born…on Monday? (Seriously, what day is today?) He’s perfect and tiny (don’t ask me how much he weighed…I can’t remember). He looks identical to his big brother (whose name I also can’t remember). And I think he was born via c-section?
All those minor, little details are running together.
But the bottom line is that he’s finally here, he’s gorgeous and he smells AMAZING. In fact, that was the first thing I did when I got to hold him on Sunday. Leaned in and smelled his cute little head. Then the nurse walked in and announced it was time to give him his first bath.
Hold up.
He hasn’t been bathed yet and here I am practically licking his head? Huh.
Could he be any more perfect?!
Aidon got to FaceTime with Simon…he’s not impressed.
I will always have gum.
Or HiChews.
So proud of her! To find out more about her birth story (and all the correct details) follow her blog here!
