Fall television is back! Between scoping out new shows and catching up on old ones, most nights you can find me curled up on our couch with a blanket and the remote. (Of course, we have to wait for the boys to go to bed because of our new No TV During The Week Rule. Which, by the way, is working out incredibly well. And I only feel a tad bit guilty watching all my shows with the volume down low while they sleep. But I pay the cable bill, so I guess I win.)
Is it bad that I feel such a huge sense of accomplishment when I delete shows from my DVR?
Anyway, Friday started out with my huddled in the bathroom by the only heater we have in our office. I cranked up the heat and was contemplating taking a short nap when my co-worker text me and asked if I could use some breakfast. Could I? The answer is always yes.
Later that night, we took #2 out for a date. The others were invited but choose to stay home and take advantage of the weekend (they get to play video games and watch tv on the weekends). We tried a new restaurant called The Blazing Onion. The food was good and they had the game on, which is all Huz and #2 need. We caught him staring at the tv while picking the food out of his teeth.
He’s an old little man trapped in a 9 year old body.
Saturday we got to have an impromptu date night!
Some friends gave us their Mariner’s tickets, which we were more than happy to take off their hands.
Um…just look at the seats. Not a bad view, right?
We stayed through the 10th inning and then decided to call it a night. It was only 9:30 but we were both pretty tired.
And then they won in the 11th inning. Figures. 🙂
And lastly…
This may have been the best part of the weekend. PEZ dispensers of the Hobbit? I love that the Dwarf ones are shorter than the others. I didn’t buy them because they were more than the 4 gallons of milk I needed (combined) but I did hide 1 box in the automotive section in case I change my mind someday.
