Five Things I Know For Sure…
1. The smell of Chex Mix warming in my oven is better than any candle. I just use the recipe from the back of the cereal box (except I don’t add the bagel chips – barf) and it’s a staple in our house around this time of year. Give me a movie, a blanket and some Chex Mix and it’s the perfect fall night.
2. During football season (#GoHawks) I keep a back up of all the fixings to make lasagna. If the Seahawks suffer a loss, Huz is typically not in the best of moods. So to cheer him up, I make a lasagna and all is somewhat well with the world again. Last year, I only had to make it once.
3. Anybody else out there hate shopping for jeans? I don’t know why, but I can’t stand shopping for jeans. I love shopping for just about anything else, but jeans? No thanks. I may be because they never fit me right. They’re too long for my little legs. Or too tight. Or not the right color. The distressed rip in the thigh is too high. Or maybe it’s just because the effort to try on jeans takes way more energy than the effort to try on a shirt? You gotta remove your shoes, strip off the jeans you’re already wearing, jam your legs into the leg holes and then find a bench long enough in the dressing room so you can lay down and zip them up. BUT I recently purchased a few pairs from Old Navy Online…and I love them. Loooove them. Like, not sure if I’ll buy jeans from anywhere else again. I would definitely go to an actual store to figure out what waist size you need, but then if you go online they have different lengths…short, regular and long. The short jeans are PERFECT for my 5’5″ self. They do stretch though, so keep that in mind if you’re trying them. 🙂
