I’ve never really been the decorating for every season type. As much as I love interior decorating and room makeovers, I would rather spend money on classic things that I will use year round.
Buuuuuuuut then I saw an ad for Joann Fabric with all of their fall/autumn decor out. And it had a 40% off coupon.
Game. Over.
Now, it looks like autumn threw up in my living room. And it smells like it looks in here, thanks to my Sweater Weather candle from Bath and Body Works. Here are a few things that I picked up from my Joann’s haul:
I am loving this burlap garland that I found in the wedding section! It comes with a set of letters, already printed on the burlap and also a suuuuuuuuuuuuuper long ribbon. I might need to go back and buy another set though, I am having a hard time coming up with cute little phrases with the amount of letters they give you. (I really wanted to string up “Happy Fall” but they only give you one “L”. Which I feel like is a huge mistake on their part. If it’s on the main set of popular letters that Wheel of Fortune gives you, you should probably include more than one. R, S, T, L, N, E. It’s not rocket surgery?)
Joann Fabrics always run great coupons, here’s a link to their weekly ones!
Love the pumpkins, especially the white ones! I had also been looking for something tall for the left corner of the living room. I always thought I wanted some type of vase there, but when I saw those wooden trees…yep. I think I can even wrap lights around them come Christmas time!
I saw this vase on Pinterest and thought it would be pretty easy to make. (Also, I feel it’s important to tell you that I pronounce vase like face. Not vase like, voz. And I want to punch people that pronounce vase like voz in the foz.) I already had the popcorn kernels and the candle, so all I needed was some burlap and a small bag of raffia.
And because it was so easy, I thought well what else can I wrap in burlap? So I tried some Mason Jars…
And of course, the candy corn is already out in stores. As are the fall colored M&M’s. So I HAD to buy them. It would have been a crime against fall to pass those by. 🙂
