I’m so excited to finally reveal our office makeover! I’ve been working on our (and I say our, but nobody really uses it but me) small little office since November, so to finally be done feels incredible! The space that we turned into the office was originally meant for the Master Bedroom Closet. And that’s cute and all…but I have a lot of stuff. So when I first saw it I knew either I was going to have to downsize or find a new closet.
You all knew I’d never really downsize, right?
Here is what the original closet looked like:
It had sliding doors on it, that I immediately ripped off. Ain’t nobody got time to open doors.
And then I had to paint. I wanted to tie in the same colors from our bedroom, because the office really is in the bedroom.
First up, fresh coat of white paint.
Whoops. Got a little too close to the wall there.
Gray striped walls to match the bedroom. It was incredible how much easier it was the second time around. I even did it by myself. Once you get the hang of using the level/taping…piece of cake.
Still looking for those 2 perfect gold foil prints. I think I may have found them on Etsy, but still keepin’ an eye out.
First attempt at chalkboard paint…definitely makes things a lot bolder and smoother…but you lose that chalky look.
InStyle Magazine doubles as a mouse pad…
Love the new Epson printer…it makes printing photos a breeze!
I apologize for some of the glare in these photos. I’m still getting used to this camera…and after about 38 tries, you just quit caring. 🙂
So…things I’m still looking for: a piece of art to hang above the computer. I’m not quite sure what I’m looking for…but I know what I don’t like and that’s all I’ve been able to find. Also, I still need to go back to Ikea and get the white slipcover for the chair. I didn’t realize that when you bought the whole chair, the slip covers don’t come with it. Must be a Swedish thing.
Now it’s on to the DINING ROOM!
(Huz just ran away screaming.)
