I’m gonna be honest…I almost threw in the towel on Teacher Gifts this year. I love making the presents, rather than buying gift cards. (Although, most teachers would probably appreciate a gift card more.) However, if I can’t make something that I really like, instead of just buying something, I won’t do anything at all. Yeah. I know. But when I came across a version of this on Pinterest, I ran to Walmart to buy my supplies.
This I can do.
Meet my White Chocolate Covered Pretzels in a Mason Jar…because, well…everything looks cute in a Mason Jar.
So stinking cute. And so stinking inexpensive. It cost me $18.00 to make 12 jars of pretzels. Pretzels included.
First, I bought my tags & ribbon at Joanne’s. (By the way, if you shop at Joanne’s a lot, be sure to download their app. They have coupons available all the time that they will scan straight from your phone!) I bought silver glitter paper and red striped ribbon…supes Christmas-y.
Then I melted the Vanilla Almond Bark in the microwave. I ended up using the whole package. Then I crushed up 2 boxes of candy canes in a giant Ziploc bag with a meat cleaver. Stress relief, anyone? 🙂
The rest is a walk in the park. Just dip your pretzel in the melted chocolate and then the crushed candy canes, and lay it on a baking sheet to dry.
Then you just put your pretzels in the Mason Jars and tie them with a ribbon and a tag!
If you need specific directions on how to do that, you need more help than I and this blog can give you.
Here is my entire list of supplies:
12 Mason Jars – 16 ounces
2 Spools of Ribbon
1 Sheet of Glitter Cardstock
2 bags of Old Fashioned Stick Pretzels
1 Package Vanilla Almond Bark
2 boxes of candy canes
